UMass Edges Saints in Springfield Thriller If Siena plays the way it did Friday night the next time it visits Springfield, it may need to book a couple more nights in the team hotel. UMass used a 17-5 run to rally past the Saints 82-78 in a wildly entertaining game at the Basketball Hall of Fame Holiday Showcase at the MassMutual Center, site of this year's MAAC Championships.

The Siena men's basketball team will play arguably the toughest game on its schedule tonight without one of its best players. The Saints square off with Atlantic 10 contender UMass at 7 p.m. at Times Union Center, and red-shirt sophomore guard Rakeem Brookins will be watching from the bench after reinjuring his back.
