Siena begins play in the NUCDF Basketball Challenge Friday in San Diego against a surprising Cal State Northridge team that has won its first three games of the season while averaging 83.7 points per contest. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. Eastern time, 4 p.m. local time.
The Saints are 1-1 on the season and they've relied on their defense so far. Siena's allowed just 103 points through two games, the lowest point total for the opposition through two games in 50 years. They've also scored just 107 points, the fewest since 1983.
The NUCDF Basketball Challenge is a five-team, five-day tournament organized by PlanBC3, LLC and Triple Threat Travel, LLC. Proceeds from this tournament will be used to raise awareness, support and research for the National Urea Cycle Disorders Foundation - www.cureucd.org.

The Saints play three games in three days here in San Diego. Tomorrow night they take on Northern Kentucky (10:30 p.m. eastern tip) and Sunday they face host San Diego (4 p.m. eastern tip).
