LOUDONVILLE, NY - The season premiere of the Siena Basketball Coaches' Show aired tonight at 6 p.m. locally on WVCR 88.3 FM "The Saint," online at SienaAllAccess.com, and on iHeartRadio. Hosted by Siena Men's Basketball broadcaster A.J. Kanell and women's basketball voice Chris Watson, the season debut featured interviews and insight from head coaches Jimmy Patsos and Ali Jaques, and student athlete guests Ahsante Shivers and Aaliyah Jones.
The hour-long program airs weekly each Thursday night throughout the basketball season from 6-7 p.m., with the exception of the weeks of Thanksgiving (Nov. 23), Christmas, (Dec. 28), and on Jan. 18 (basketball doubleheader at that time). The first half hour of the program is dedicated to the Siena Men's Basketball program, while the second half hour features the women's team.
All shows can be listened to throughout the Capital Region on the home for Siena Women's Basketball WVCR 88.3 FM "The Saint," and FREE online at SienaAllAccess.com and iHeartRadio. WVCR is one of just a small handful of college radio stations carried by iHeartRadio, and all WVCR programming including women's basketball broadcasts and Siena Basketball Coaches' Shows can be listened to online at iHeartRadio and through mobile devices on the iHeartRadio app.
Both teams are set to tip off their respective 2017-18 seasons Friday night at 7 p.m. The men open at Colonial Athletic Association preseason favorite College of Charleston, while the women face Big Ten power Penn State. The men's home opener is set for Monday night vs. two-time defending Atlantic Sun Tournament Champion Florida Gulf Coast at the Times Union Center at 7 p.m., while the women host sister school St. Bonaventure at the ARC Sunday at 2 p.m.
