Pete Gillen will be a guest lecturer at this year's Siena Basketball Coaches Clinic Saturday, October 20 at Siena's Alumni Recreation Center. Saints' coach Mitch Buonaguro is scheduled to deliver the keynote.

Coaches can register for the clinic for just $50 by printing the registration brochure linked from the top of this page. Each additional coach on the same staff is just $25. Attendees will be provided a Siena Basketball polo shirt, and a notebook courtesy Anaconda Sports, as well as detailed practice plans.

Gillen works as a national college basketball analyst for CBS Sports, but is best known for his illustrious career as the head coach at Xavier, Providence and most recently the University of Virginia. He owns a 392-221all-time record as a Division I head coach.

In each of his stops as head coach, Gillen led his team to the NCAA Tournament advancing to the Elite 8 with Providence in 1997. His teams made 16 postseason appearances including nine times in the NCAA Tournament.

Gillen was inducted into the Nike Basketball Hall of Fame in 1997, the New York City Basketball Hall of Fame in 2008, and the 5-Star Basketball Hall of Fame, a distinction he shares with Coach Buonaguro.

The clinic begins with registration at 8:30 a.m. and concludes at 3 p.m. following a 45-minute question and answer session with Gillen and Buonaguro.
