Men's Basketball Game at Minnesota to Air on ESPNU

    Siena's men's basketball game at Minnesota on Monday, November 15 will air nationally on ESPNU from Williams Arena. The network confirmed the telecast in an e-mail today.

    It will mark Siena's third game against a Big Ten school in the past three seasons, the previous two coming in the NCAA Tournament. Siena defeated Ohio State 74-72 in double-overtime in the First Round of the 2009 Championships in Dayton, Ohio and lost to Purdue 72-64 in a First Round game in Spokane, Wash. in March.

    Minnesota went 21-14 last year and earned a #11 seed in the NCAA Tournament where they fell to Xavier in the First Round. The Gophers lost two of its top three scorers to graduation, but returns senior guard Blake Hoffarber who averaged 10 points and shot 47% (85-182) from 3-point range.

    The telecast will mark Siena's 23rd appearance on national television since the start of the 2008 calendar year. It will also be the 50th game Siena has played on television since the start of the 2007-2008 season (including local and regional telecasts).
