Green Slams White in #SienaLegends Game
July 19, 2012
It turned out the biggest play in the first ever #SienaLegends game took place before the game even started. Tay Fisher `08 was traded from the "White" team to the "Green", and then Fisher went out and scored 17 points on 6-13 shooting in the "Green" team's 74-55 blowout win in front of 2,048 fans at Alumni Recreation Center Thursday. The "Green" team out-scored the "White" team 41-26 after intermission. Anotine "Scoop" Jordan made 5-6 shots and finished with 12 points and nine rebounds in 16 minutes, and Michael Haddix '07 made 4-6 shots, including the game's first basket, finishing with eight points. The "White" team never led despite 13 points on 5-6 shooting from Andy Cavo `02, and 10 points on 4-5 shooting from all-time leading scorer Marc Brown `91. The rest of the team went 13-60 from the floor. The two teams combined to shoot 81 3-pointers, making just 15. Jeff Robinson `90 played 19 minutes despite tearing the meniscus in his knee earlier this week. Fisher was named MVP by a fan vote held at Facebook.com/SienaSaints. The feature game capped off an evening that began with a meet and greet that enabled fans to catch up with their favorite players from the past.
