LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Siena Basketball Head Coach Jimmy Patsos has announced the fourth and newest addition to the Saints' Class of 2021. Worton, Maryland native Manny Camper has signed and returned his National Letter of Intent during the NCAA's regular NLI signing period, and will enroll at Siena College this fall.
"We're excited to have Manny join our program," said Patsos. "He's a high character individual. Manny is a versatile, well-rounded, multiple position, do-it-all player in the mold of a Lavon Long, and we hope that he can continue to evolve into being that type of player."
The 6'5", 200-pound guard/forward has been named the North Bayside Player of the Year each of the past two seasons while starring at Kent County High School. A four-year varsity starter, Camper scored 1,951 career points.
This season, Camper averaged over 28 points and 13 rebounds per game to lead the Trojans to the Maryland 1A East Region title. He averaged better than 26 points per game during his junior year, and also played his AAU basketball for Team Melo.
An outstanding all-around student athlete, Camper currently holds a 3.93 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society. He is also ranked in the top-10 of Kent County's 2017 graduating class, and was the recipient of a Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Humanitarian Award.
Camper joins guards Jordan Horn and Roman Penn and forward Prince Oduro in comprising the Saints' Class of 2021. Horn and Oduro both inked with the Saints during the early signing period in November, while Penn joined the program as a midyear enrollee in January.
Camper joins a Siena Basketball program which this winter advanced to its first MAAC Championship Game in seven years. The Saints posted a 17-17 overall record and tied for third in the MAAC with a 12-8 league mark.
