Kyle Downey had joined the Albany Legends of the IBA, and could play with the club this weekend. Downey confirmed the report on his twitter page, calling the opportunity "a dream come true".

Downey recently completed a stellar senior season in which he averaged 13.5 points and ranked fourth nationally with over 37 minutes played per game. He ended his career with 790 career points, 275 rebounds, 151 assists and 83 steals.

In the story on the FOX23 website, Albany Legends GM Nick Dean called Downey: "a balanced player who is going to give you every impressive dimension of his game every night he puts on a uniform. Watching Kyle this year, I was so impressed by his growth as a player and what he has accomplished at Siena. We know we will see great things from Kyle as he takes the next step in his career as a professional basketball player. Kyle is a fantastic young man and ball player and the Albany Legends are excited about his prospects and further development with us."

The FOX23 report indicated Downey will make his debut with the Legends Saturday at 3 p.m. in an exhibition game at Mohonasen High School.
