Tay Fisher has visited more than 40 countries in his four seasons with the Harlem Globetrotters, world famous for their blend of basketball and comedy.
On Sunday afternoon, the Globetrotters will make their annual visit to Times Union Center. Fisher, a Kingston native, played in the arena from 2004 to 2008 with the Siena men's basketball team.
Fisher, a 5-foot-9 guard, goes by his Globetrotter nickname of "Firefly."
"It's always good to come back home," Fisher said. "I wouldn't care if it was at Siena, or if it was in Glens Falls, or if it was in Poughkeepsie at Marist. It doesn't matter. As long as I get a chance to come back home in front of my friends and my family, and my campers who come to my (basketball) camp, I'm happy the Globetrotters have given me that leeway to be able to come back home."
