WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. -Jack McClinton hit a game-winning three-pointer with 37 seconds left as Siena rallied past Monmouth 60-59 in New Jersey Sunday. The Saints defense then stiffened and turned away three scoring opportunities to seal the win.
Both teams struggled with their offense. Siena hit just 34 percent from the floor, while the Hawks weren't much better, making 37 percent of their shots.
Blake Hamilton led Monmouth with 14 points, while Dwayne Byfield had a season-high 13 points and added six rebounds and Tyler Azzarelli chipped in 11 points and six boards.
