Ben Davis was hired on June 23, 2011. Davis recently completed his third season as assistant coach at Stonehill College in Easton, Mass.

"Ben has demonstrated a phenomenal work ethic, and will be a valuable asset to our staff," Buonaguro said. "I was looking for someone who could hit the ground running in this position, and handle many of the day-to-day responsibilities surrounding our program. I'm confident Ben is the right man for the job."

Davis served as the Skyhawks' top assistant coach and recruiting coordinator last season. He was also charged with developing pre and postseason strength and conditioning programs for the team.

In Davis' three seasons at Stonehill, the Skyhawks earned three consecutive NCAA tournament bids, exceeding 20 wins in each of those campaigns, and posting a 66-21 overall record. The Skyhawks captured the 2009-10 Northeast-10 regular season championship, and earned the top seed for the East Regional Championship, serving as Tournament host.

Prior to Stonehill, Davis was the head assistant and recruiting coordinator at NCAA Division III Nichols College, located in his native Dudley, Mass., for one season (2007-08).

Davis is a 2006 graduate of Wheaton (Mass.) College, earning Bachelor's Degrees in history and political science. He was a four-year letterwinner for the Lyons men's basketball team, serving as captain his senior year. Davis earned NEWMAC Academic All-Conference honors his senior season, helping the program win a school-record 76 games over his career as well as back-to-back ECAC Championships as a junior and senior.
