The Siena varsity baseball team ousted its alumni 4-2 Saturday in the shortest Alumni Game ever played. The two sides played a hotly-contested battle in just one hour and 23 minutes under clear skies and temperatures in the mid-60's.

The varsity took advantage of a couple alumni miscues to push a run across in each of its first two at bats, and put the game away with Alex Tuccio's two-run homer in the seventh.

Tuccio's home run was the only extra base hit for the varsity squad as both teams got strong pitching performances.

Nicco Stento led the charge for the alumni finishing 2-for-2 while Kyle Sumple laced a triple and Dan Pendleton doubled, proving pitchers can hit!

Overall, 20 alumni participated in the festivities and got to see the new 2014 MAAC Championship and NCAA sign in the outfield and banner on the back of the scoreboard at scenic Siena Field.
