Seniors Vincent Citro and John Rooney have been named team captains for the 2014 Siena baseball season. Rooney and Citro will lead a Siena squad with high expectations after a run to the MAAC Championship game in 2013.

"John and Vinny were selected by their teammates, and I'm confident they'll be excellent captains," head coach Tony Rossi said. "Both players have been contributors on the field throughout their career, and they have the respect of everyone in the program."

Citro (Montclair, N.J./Montclair) has 168 hits and 111 runs scored in 160 games played at Siena. He has posted a .280 career batting average and stolen 24 bases. Citro played short stop as a freshman, second base as a sophomore and first base a junior last season.
