Siena's Dan Swain was one of 26 Division I outfielders named to Collegiate Baseball Newspaper's 2014 Louisville Slugger Freshmen All-American Team. Swain, the 2014 MAAC Rookie of the Year, played a key role in the Saints' first MAAC Championship since 1999.

Swain batted .293 with two home runs and 27 RBI and started 59 of Siena's 60 games in center field. His 61 hits were the fourth most ever by a Siena rookie.

His career got off to a fast start when he homered in his first collegiate at bat at Central Florida - the only home run allowed all season by UCF ace Eric Skoglund.

Swain finished the regular-season, leading the team with a .375 batting average over the final 17 games and hitting safely in 10 of the last 11 games he played entering the MAAC Championships. He was named MAAC Rookie of the Week twice this season (February 18 and March 18).

Swain is just the third Siena player named to the Louisville Slugger team, joining Dan Paolini (2009) and Dave Pahucki (1999).
