Willis and Seltzer Named Captains for 2008 Season

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Jake Willis (Niantic, Conn./East Lyme) and Rick Seltzer (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) have been named team captains for the upcoming 2008 season, it was announced Friday morning.

"I'm happy to have both Jake and Rick as our team captains for this season," Rossi said. "Both have goals to take us to the conference championship and I feel that they can accomplish that."

Willis led the team in hitting for the second-straight year, batting .339 with a team-high 56 hits, including 12 doubles. Additionally, Willis ended the season ninth in the MAAC in hitting. This past May, Willis was honored for his hard work in the classroom by the MAAC with his second MAAC All-Academic Team selection.

Seltzer led the team with seven home runs, 30 RBI and 25 walks. The Allentown, Pa. native finished the 2007 campaign with a .256 batting average and a .456 slugging percentage.
