Joe Drpich Named to Louisville Slugger Freshmen All American Team

Siena freshman Joe Drpich "The Big Show" became the fourth Siena player in the history of the program to earn recognition on Collegiate Baseball's Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American Team. Drpich was one of 13 players recognized at designated hitter.

Drpich (South Salem, N.Y.) was named MAAC Rookie of the Year and selected to the MAAC All-Tournament Team after a standout freshman campaign. He batted .301 this season with a team-high nine home runs and 32 RBI in 42 games played. His .21 home runs per game were tops in the MAAC and rank 75th nationally.

Drpich was named MAAC Rookie of the Week a conference-best three times this season. His .581 slugging percentage ranked fourth in the MAAC and 90th nationally. He ranked seventh in the conference with a .405 on-base percentage.

Drpich joined teammate Dan Swain (2014), Dan Paolini (2009) and Dave Pahucki (1999) as Siena players who have been recognized on the team.
