The Siena baseball team will play its final MAAC home game of the season Saturday against Fairfield in honor of Tyler DeMarco, who passed away of brain cancer in February at the age of 12. DeMarco played in the Rotterdam Little League, had a deep love for baseball and enjoyed following the Saints.
The athletic department has planned many activities for Capital Region children leading up to the noon start. Beginning at 11 a.m. there will be a bouncy bounce, relay races and carnival style food. The event is free of charge, open to the general public and children of all ages are encouraged to come out and show their support.
Donations will be accepted leading up to the event by contacting Laura Menty in the Siena athletic department at 518-782-6769. Fans can also contribute to the worthy cause at the game.
