Siena College freshman outfielder Mike Fish was named MAAC Rookie of the Week Monday. Fish led the Saints to a 4-1 week, including a MAAC sweep of Iona.
Fish batted .600 (12-20), hitting safely in all five games and posting four multi-hit games. He began the week be going 4-for-5 with four runs scored in the Saints' rout of Cornell. Fish started the weekend MAAC sweep of Iona by going 2-for-4 with four RBI and four stolen bases in Siena's 11-7 victory. He had three hits in the series finale, including a home run that helped propel Siena to an 8-1 win.
Fish finished the week 12-for-20 with eight runs scored, seven RBI, two doubles, a home run and five stolen bases.
He also played a flawless center field, recording 16 put outs and one assists without making an error.
Fish and the Saints play at UMass Tuesday at 3 p.m.
