Siena freshman Dan Swain is the MAAC Rookie of the Week for the second time this season. Swain continued his fast start, batting .389 with a .611 slugging percentage in five games against high caliber opponents last week.
Swain (Newton, Mass./Newton) began the week with a 2-for-4 game in a 15-9 loss at regional power Georgia State. Swain homered and drove in three runs in the victory. He had a three-hit game in the series finale at Ohio State - the most hits by any player for either team in the game. Swain drew two walks on the week to post a .450 on-base percentage in 20 plate appearances and had 12 putouts without an error in centerfield.
Swain is third on the Saints with a .317 batting average. He was also named Rookie of the Week on February 18.
