Mark McCants was 3-for-4 with two RBI and Army scored runs off five of Siena's seven pitchers in a 7-1 victory over the Saints Tuesday in the first game played on Siena Field this season.

The Black Knights (14-10) pounded out 10 hits and grabbed command of the game with two runs in their first at bat and never looked back.

Yahriel Jimenez was 2-for-2 and drove in Siena's (4-14) only run with a bad hop single in the seventh. Jordan Bishop also had two of the Saints' five hits, and classmate Phil Madonna had the other.

Freshmen Tyler Childrose and Ryan Bellomo each pitched well on a staff day for the Saints. Childrose allowed just one hit in the second, and Bellomo retired three straight after hitting the leadoff man in the ninth.

Reliever Stu Schley picked up the victory for Army, working three innings and striking out three. Starter Garrison Franklin allowed only one hit in four strong innings before giving way to Schley in the fifth. Johnny Griffith pitched the final two innings without allowing run and struck out three for the Black Knights.

Siena has lost three straight after winning three straight for the first time this season. They return to conference play Friday at Niagara.
