KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The Tennessee Volunteers used five-run sixth to snap a 5-5 tie and post their 11th consecutive victory with a 12-5 decision over the Siena College Saints at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. The Vols go for their third straight series sweep Sunday at 12:30 p.m. ET.

After building a 5-1 lead on a fielding error and a double by Michael Rivera in the second, an RBI double by Kyle Norrid in the third and a two-run double by Josh Alley in the fourth, the Saints (5-8) got off the mat to score four unanswered, including three in the sixth to knot the game. Rivera went 3-for-4 to pace the Vols (15-2).

The Vols then mounted their own rally in the bottom of the inning. Following a hit batsman leading off the frame, the Vols reeled off three consecutive singles while benefiting from the third Saint error before Chris Kemp capped the inning with a two-run single to right giving Tennessee a commanding 10-5 lead. They added single runs in the seventh and eighth on an error and ground out, respectively.

Reliever Patrick Hicklen (2-0) picked up the win, working three scoreless innings, while Brandon Crowe pitched the ninth.

Starter Sean Watson began strong by retiring the first 11 batters he faced before Tony Cipolla tripled and scored on an errant throw to put the Saints on the board in the fourth. Brian Schmotzer then added another RBI triple in the fifth for the first two Siena hits. Cipolla led the Saints with two hits and two RBI.

Watson faced four batters in the sixth before being lifted for Hicklen who entered with two on and no out and gave up the tying run on a wild pitch.

Trevor Reid (1-2) took the loss in relief of starter Ken Grant. Reid was roughed up for seven runs (five earned) on seven hits in three innings.
