Radford scored 11 runs in its first three at bats and coasted to a 14-1 win over Siena Sunday in Virginia. It's the ninth straight loss for the Saints to start the season with games at Stetson, Georgia State and Ohio State up next.
Ryan Meisinger earned his first win of the season on the mound, and Josh Gardiner and Zach Woolcock each drove in three runs for the Highlanders.
Siena (0-9) starting pitcher Colton Dennis (0-1) struggled with his control hitting five of the seven batters he faced.
Meanwhile, Meisinger used the big lead to comfortably work seven strong innings to earn his first victory of the season giving up just one run on six hits.
In all, Siena pitchers beaned eight RU batters on the day.
Radford answered its six-run second with a five-run third to take control of the game.
Justin Esquerra drove in the only run for the Saints with a double in the fourth and finished 2-for-4 on the day.
Radford spread around its 11 hits, with only Gardiner producing a multi-hit day (2-for-4 with two RBI and three runs).
