Baseball Falls in Game Two at UCF

Siena Baseball dropped the second game of a three-game set with Central Florida on Saturday. The Knights took the contest 3-0 holding the Saints to just three hits. Pitchers freshman Brendan White and sophomore Dylan D’Anna combined to allow just six hits for Siena.

The Knights put one on the board early when Kyle Marsh tripled and scored on an RBI single by Brennan Bozeman. UCF tacked one run on in both the fifth and eighth innings.

White made his first career start and appearance for Siena, allowing two runs on three hits in five innings of work. D’Anna was solid in relief for the Saints, only giving up one run and three hits in the final four innings.

Siena had its best scoring opportunities in the sixth and ninth innings when the Saints left two runners on base. Junior Dan Lowndes doubled in the game for the Saints while freshman Nico Ramos and junior Max Goione notched singles for Siena in the game.

The Saints will wrap up the three-game series with the Knights on Sunday. First pitch is set for 1 p.m. Senior lefthander Chris Amorosi is set to get the start for Siena against Jason Bahr of UCF.
