GENERAL: Hard-working left-handed pitcher who adds depth to the pitching rotation...Relies on his location and off-speed pitches to get batters out...Will be a factor if he can limit his mistakes. IN THE SUMMER OF 2002: Played for the Rome Indians of the New York Collegiate Baseball League. AS A SOPHOMORE: Appeared in four games pitching just over eight innings...Picked up the victory in his lone start at C.W. Post, hurling 4.2 innings and collecting six strikeouts. AS A FRESHMAN: Made six appearances, starting once. His best outing came in a six inning shutout of C.W. Post (4/24), as he allowed just four hits. IN HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered for two years at Rome Free Academy where he pitched and played first base. Named All-League, All-State and All-Mohawk Valley as a senior. Helped Smith Post Legion team to a New York State Championship.
