Siena at Central Florida

Siena traveled to Orlando to face Central Florida

GENERAL: A hard-throwing right-hander from South Florida whose fastball has been clocked in the upper-80's...Also possesses a sharp curveball and good size.

AS A FRESHMAN: Made nine appearances, posting a 1-2 record with a 10.07 ERA in 19.2 innings of work...Closed the season strong, allowing no runs in his final two appearances of year (at Bryant 5/1 and vs. Fairfield 5/12)...Walked 18 batters, hit 11 and struck out 10.

BEFORE SIENA: A three-year starter at Chaminade...Went 7-2 with three saves as a junior.

ROSSI ON MORALES: "Rick struggled with command most of last year. He throws the ball hard with a good breaking pitch. He works very hard, and once he harnesses those pitches where he can throw strikes in any situation he will be a pitcher to be reckoned with. Once he figures out the strike zone he should be a major contributor."
