Siena at Central Florida

Siena traveled to Orlando to face Central Florida

GENERAL:Tall, long middle infielder with a strong glove...Has shown he can produce in stretches as a valuable reserve...Will again add depth across the infield and could challenge for playing time at several positions.

AS A JUNIOR:Played just 12 games due to injury, starting them all...Hit .206 (7-for-31) in limited action, mostly against top-notch competition on Siena's annual southern swing...Had two hits in opener at Liberty (2/24), and two RBI in Siena's 9-7 win the following day (2/25)...Started all three games in first MAAC series at Canisius, but suffered an injury and never played again.

AS A SOPHOMORE:Appeared in 26 games, making 21 starts...Hit .182, with one home run, six RBI, and nine runs scored...Went 2-for-2 at Dayton (3/18)...Hit his first collegiate home run and had a season-high three RBI against Brown (4/6).

AS A FRESHMAN:Appeared in 35 games, starting 30...Hit .272, with 12 RBI and 16 runs scored...Recorded first collegiate hit at Stetson (2/23), an RBI double...Set a season-high with four RBI at South Alabama (3/6), going 2-for-4...Had season-high four hits at Bryant (5/3), going 4-for-5 with three runs and an RBI...Ended the season on a four-game hitting streak, including a 5-for-12 stretch in the season-ending series at Manhattan.

BEFORE SIENA:Three year letter winner in high school at both third base and shortstop...Named Suburban Council All-Star as a junior...Named Co-Captain as a senior and awarded Saratoga's Nick Alex Award.

ROSSI ON ALLEN: "Mike was hit twice with the injury bug last spring and was limited to a total of 12 games. If he stays injury-free, the staff is hoping he ends his senior season on a positive note. He is a versatile player who will be relied on to help out at every infield position."
