GENERAL: Slick fielding infielder with tremendous hands and great instincts...Polished player who is expected to be a major contributor for four years...Expected to be one of the top defensive shortstops program has seen in some time.

BEFORE SIENA: Posted a .550 on-base percentage as a junior at Governor Livingston High School batting .350 with 35 hits, 30 walks, and 21 stolen bases in 21 attempts...In the field, he was part of a double-play combination that set a state record with 61 twin killings in a single season.

AS A FRESHMAN: Started all 57 games for the Saints... Batted .269 (49-for-182) with 19 RBI and 25 runs scored... Had 12 multi-hit games and strung together a six game hit streak in conference play in May... Went 22-for-51, batting .431 in May with seven RBI...Hit .333 (26-for-78) in 24 conference games... In the MAAC Championships, he went 2-for-3 with two doubles, three RBI and two runs scored in 12-5 win over Marist (5/24).

ROSSI ON MARTIS: "Tyler had a good freshman season. Helped anchor the infield where the team ranked in the top 10 nationally in double plays. He needs to develop a little more constancy with the bat, and hopefully with that added dimension should again be a major contributor this year."
