Siena at Central Florida

Siena traveled to Orlando to face Central Florida

GENERAL: Pairs a solid fastball with an outstanding curve...Broke onto the scene as a rookie, emerging as one of the top relievers in the MAAC...Very consistent pitcher who works within himself, and lives down in the zone...Has excellent control, and the right mentality to pitch in late-game situations.

AS A FRESHMAN: Led the team with a 2.21 ERA and four victories (4-2)...Second on the team with 20 appearances...Had 22 strikeouts and just nine walks in 40.2 innings of work...Limited opponents to a .258 batting average...Posted a 3-2 record and a 1.65 ERA in MAAC games, walking just four batters in 27.1 innings of work...Allowed no earned runs in 13 of 20 appearances, including a stretch of six straight scoreless appearances in conference action...Named MAAC Rookie of the Week (4/16) after working in all three games of the Marist series and allowing just one run.

BEFORE SIENA: A three-sport athlete at Burr & Burrton Academy, playing baseball, soccer, and hockey...The MVP of the school's baseball team as a junior and senior...Also a two-time All-Marble Valley League selection, and captained the squad as a senior.

ROSSI ON LEWICKI: "Eddie is coming off an outstanding first year. He was one of our go-to guys out of the bullpen, and the coaching staff will look to him to supply leadership this year. Ed will again be counted on heavily for quality innings."
