GENERAL...A tall, crafty lefty with loads of potential...Has great control and a deceptive arsenal...Emerged as one of the team's most consistent starters last year, earning a spot in the weekend rotation...Has All-MAAC potential this spring.

AS A SOPHOMORE...Posted a 7-3 record and a 3.84 ERA in 72.2 innings of work...Struck out 54 batters and walked 31...Held opponents to a .241 batting average...Was 5-1 with a 2.61 in MAAC games...Picked up a complete game win at Saint Peter's (5/9), allowing only one earned run and striking out eight players in nine innings of work.

AS A FRESHMAN...Tossed 44.2 innings compiling an ERA of 5.44...Appeared in 12 games, making five starts...Held opponents to a .289 batting average...Got the starting nod to face then #1 Florida State, and more than held his own (3/6/03)...Pitched 5.2 innings allowing five hits and two earned runs...Best performance came in his first career conference start against MAAC Champion LeMoyne College (5/16/03) in which he pitched six strong innings, allowing seven hits, and three earned runs.

IN HIGH SCHOOL...As a junior at Chaminade High School Lanan finished the year 4-1 with a 1.66 ERA over 33.2 innings... The following summer, he pitched for the State Champion Williamsport team.
