AS A FRESHMAN: Kunkle emerged as a pleasant surprise in the Saints? outfield...The lone member of the team without a defensive error, Kunkle developed into a dependable option for Rossi off the bench and in platoon situations...Finished third on the team in outfield assists (5) despite shared playing time...Played in 35 games, starting 20...Showed ability to get on base, reaching in over 30% of his plate appearances despite his .194 average.

IN HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered four years at Lehighton High School where he was named First Team All-Area, All-Conference and Team MVP...Helped guide Lehighton to the district playoffs his senior season before being named to the Carpenter Cup Team...Also excelled in basketball.
