ROSSI ON ROONEY: "John had a slow start last season, but came on strong towards the end to provide his solid defense in the outfield and his aggressive offensive bat at the plate. Again for the second consecutive year he was elected co-captain by his peers. He has arguably one of the best arms in the conference and the staff is hoping he can continue to be one of the top outfielders in the conference in all areas. The coaching staff will be counting on him heavily to provide some much needed offensive help and leadership."
