ROSSI ON HOFFMAN: "Dave is coming off a freshman season where he was behind two senior catchers. He did not get much playing time last year, however he had a fine summer in the Perfect Game Collegiate Summer League where he made his division All-star team. The coaching staff is hopeful that the experience he gained this past summer carries over into this season. We hope the competition from the other three catchers will push him to be one of the top catcher/hitters on the team."
