AS A JUNIOR: Enjoyed a breakthrough season starting 40 of 46 games played...Was an offensive juggernaut for the Saints, hitting .297, with 43 hits, 10 doubles, 30 RBI's, and five home runs, which tied him for first on the team...Stifled opposing right-handed pitchers with a team-high .350 batting average...Was extremely successful leading off an inning, reaching base safely 14 times out of 29 opportunities (.483)...Ended the season with a 17-game hitting streak.
AS A SOPHOMORE: Started 36 of the 37 games he appeared in at catcher...Batted .197 with one homerun, 14 runs and 17 RBI...Went 3-for-5 at New Orleans (3/1) and 2-for-4 with a double and a homerun against South Alabama (3/6)...Also produced multi-hit games against Wagner (3/23) and Vermont (4/14).
AS A FRESHMAN: During southern swing hit .364 as a pinch hitter...Appeared in 24 games drawing four walks while scoring five runs...Recorded 25 putouts and one assist.
IN HIGH SCHOOL: An All-Main Line All Star, batted .475 as a junior with four home runs and 20 stolen bases...In the summer, he continued his hot hitting, batting .451 with 12 RBI...As a senior, Hildenbrand was named First Team Central League for the second consecutive year and was also selected to the All-Suburban team...He led Conestoga High School to its first District Championship in school history, and to the second round of the states
