AS A FRESHMAN: A starter from day one, Hanan tied the single-season games played record...He made a quick adjustment to college pitching and returned from the Saints' southern swing leading the team in batting (.333)...Hanan anchored the middle of Siena's strong, young defense, committing just 15 errors in 281 chances at short...Led the team in stolen bases (23) and runs scored (47) in addition to batting average against left-handers (.425)...Hit .459 when leading off an inning and boasted the team's longest hitting streak of season (15 games).
IN HIGH SCHOOL: Four year starter at Shenendehowa where he was named All-Area, All-League, and to the Dream Team his sophomore, junior and senior year...Selected as the Defensive Player of the Year all four years...Also lettered in basketball, golf and tennis.
