GENERAL: Versatile player who has developed into Rossi's go-to man out of the pen the last two season...Submarine thrower who is extremely tough against righties and does an excellent job of keeping hitters of balance...Stays within himself on the mound and mixes pitches well...Reliable and consistent presence who can work as many innings as needed in relief or as a spot started...Pitched in the Clark Griffith League for the Silver Springs Thunderbolts this past summer.

AS A JUNIOR: Led pitchers with 21 appearances and was tops on team with a 3.05 ERA...Pitched 41.1 innings collecting 21 strikeouts and held opponents to a .265 batting average...Recorded one save, seeing some time as the team's closer...Best performance came against Cornell University (4/29/03) as he pitched five innings, allowing no runs and two hits.

AS A SOPHOMORE: Led pitchers with more than 15 innings of work with a 3.09 ERA...His 19 appearances on the hill tied for the most on the team...Garnered a team-best five saves and posted a 3-1 record out of the pen...Pitched 43.3 innings collected 31 strikeouts against just 11 walks...Batted .167 with 4 RBI in 16 games played on offense...Went 2-for-4 vs. Fordham in one of seven starts in the field.

AT GEORGE WASHINGTON: Hit .263 in nine games with one home run and three RBI for the Colonials...Also finished with an 8.31 ERA over 10 appearances on the mound.

BEFORE SIENA: A three-sport athlete at Washington Waldorf, Courage excelled in baseball, basketball and soccer...He was the MVP of all three teams his junior season and earned team MVP honors for baseball in each of his four varsity seasons.
