GENERAL: A local product...Can throw three pitches for strikes...Pupil of Siena alum Dave Fields '00, the pitching coach at Colonie Central...Gained valuable experience as a freshman, flashing signs of his potential.

AS A FRESHMAN: Appeared in 10 games, making three starts...Posted a 2-0 record with a 5.19 ERA...Struck out 16 and walked just nine in 26 innings of work...Top effort came at New York Tech (4/11) where he picked up the victory with 5.2 innings of one-run ball.

BEFORE SIENA: Went 9-1 in two seasons as a starter at Colonie Central...Went undefeated as a senior, striking out 33 batters in 26 innings pitched...Did not allow a hit in his last four appearances as a senior.

ROSSI ON KEARNEY: "Chris is a valuable member of our rotation, and he enjoyed a fine first year. He needs to build on last year and cut down on the number of hits allowed. He again will vie for middle relief work and mid-week starts."
