AS A JUNIOR: Named to the MAAC All-Tournament Team after firing complete game victory over Manhattan (5/22)...Tabbed MAAC Pitcher of the Week (5/19) after hurling 7.1 innings allowing just one run and striking out seven in victory over Marist (5/15) that clinched the Saints a spot in the MAAC Tournament...Staff ace led the team in games started (14), innings pitched (87.0) and strikeouts (70)...14 starts tied program single-season record...Ranked fifth in the MAAC in strikeouts...Won final four starts of the season, posting 25 K's in 33.1 innings including two complete games while tallying a stellar 1.62 ERA...Lasted seven innings or longer in each of his final seven starts...Recorded six or more strikeouts on seven occasions.

AS A SOPHOMORE: Threw a team-high 72 innings in 13 games...Posted a season record of 4-8 with an ERA of 5.75...Tied for team-lead in strikeouts with 42...Gave up one earned run in seven strong innings, allowing six hits and striking out six to earn a 12-3 win over Rider (4/21)...Won four of his last seven starts.

AS A RED SHIRT SOPHOMORE: Started his only appearance of the season before red-shirting due to injury.

AS A FRESHMAN: Made 14 appearances and had five starts...Finished second on the team with three complete games...Was fourth on squad with 49.2 innings and 36 strikeouts...Developed into one of most dependable options out of the pen early in the year, before cracking the starting rotation...Picked up complete game victory over regional power Connecticut (4/13) allowing only six hits and two runs...Went the distance in second game of LeMoyne series (5/19) allowing just six hits and one earned run en route to the win...Pitched eight innings, allowing just three hits and one earned run, while striking out 12 in tough luck loss to Niagara in MAAC Championships (5/27).

BEFORE SIENA: His high school did not have baseball, so Chaput's experience came from playing summer baseball...Named summer ball Pitcher of the Year for the Bytown Colonels after tossing nine complete games in a row following his senior year...Following his junior year, he pitched for the Ottawa Nepean Canadians and posted a 12-4 record with a 3.53 ERA and 143 strikeouts in 117 2/3 innings of work.
