GENERAL...A talented pitcher with a heavy fastball and tremendous breaking pitch...Composed and confident on the mound...Above-average velocity and ability to mix and locate pitches effectively make him difficult to hit...Has battled through injuries throughout his career and enters senior season as one of the team's top arms.

AS A JUNIOR...Posted a 5-2 record and a 5.52 ERA...Rebounded to win his final five decisions of the season...Allowed just five hits and two earned runs in seven innings while picking up the victory over regional power UMass (5/4)...Recorded a 2.88 ERA in last eight starts of season.

AS A SOPHOMORE...Battled an injury season, which limited his action on the hill...Made four appearances and three starts, one of which came in a blizzard at Holy Cross where he pitched five innings, allowing five hits and two earned runs (4/1/03).

AS A FRESHMAN...Allowed just one earned run in 11.2 innings of work...Made four appearances and one start...In the start, he fired a six inning, complete game gem in a shutout of Vermont (4/16)...Gave up only two hits and struck out three Catamounts en route to the win...Posted a 0.77 ERA on the season and notched 10 strikeouts against just nine walks...Opponents batted .209 in Burnett's limited duty.

IN HIGH SCHOOL...Lettered for three years in baseball and basketball at nearby Bethlehem High School...Selected as Honorable Mention All-Area as a junior and senior in baseball.
