GENERAL: Junior College transfer who had little trouble making adjustment to Division I ball...Enjoyed one of best seasons on the hill in school history in first season with Green and Gold...2004 Collegiate Baseball Preseason MAAC Pitcher of the Year...2003 First Team All-MAAC...Owns a fastball that has been clocked in the upper 80's and a deadly slider...Confidence and command of each pitch are his chief attributes...Was the ace of the staff last season and again figures to occupy that role this year.

AS A JUNIOR: Emerged as the Saints' top pitcher...A First Team All-MAAC selection and MAAC Pitcher of the Week on three occasions (4/29, 5/12, 5/22)...Owned a 6-6 record and a 3.51 ERA...Finished the season with 95 innings pitched which marked a single season record...Equaled a school record with 77 strikeouts...His seven complete games were also the most on the squad...Virtually un-hittable against MAAC foes, posting a 6-1 record with an astounding 0.66 ERA...Garnered a team best five shutouts on the year, four of which came consecutively against conference teams...He let up only five earned runs in 68 innings pitched in conference and held opponents to a .200 batting average.

BEFORE SIENA: Lettered in football, basketball and baseball for three seasons at Pacific Grove High School before refining his pitching skills at San Diego Mesa.

ROSSI ON BITTER: "Ryan is one of the premier pitchers in the league, and we will rely heavily upon his arm at the front end of our weekend rotation. He pitched extremely well in conference last season, and with a year of experience, he could evolve into one of the region's top arms."

STRENGTHS: Velocity, Movement, Confidence
