Saints Have 12 Runners Named to MAAC Cross Country All-Academic Team

The MAAC released the 2006 men's and women's cross country All-Academic teams this afternoon during the conference championship at Van Cortland Park. Siena had a total of 12 representatives named to the team.

Tara Heffernan (So-American Studies-Ellington, Conn.), Angela Marciano (Sr.-English-Poughkeepsie, N.Y.), Diane Martori (Jr.-Social Work-Bellrose, N.Y.), Anne Redcross (Sr.-English-Troy, N.Y.), Jen Stacey (Jr.-Business-Shrewbury, Mass.) and Keelin Wellott (Sr.-Marketing and Management-Rochester, N.Y.) represented the Siena women.

Anthony Conte (So.-Biology-South Setauket, N.Y.), Ryan Donnelly (So.-Biology-Washingtonville, N.Y.), John Hart (Jr.-istory Education-Cornwall, N.Y.), Paul Notar (Sr.-Political Science-Schenectady, N.Y.), Brett Tracy (So.-Biology-Canterbury, Conn.) and Tom Twiname (Jr.-History Eucation-Hicksville, N.Y.) were selected on the men's side.

To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student athlete must complete two semesters at their institution, be a significant starter or reserve and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
