LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Sophomore cross country runner Evans Kibet was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Runner of the Week. This is the sophomore’s first award of the season and second of his career.
Kibet takes home his second career cross country weekly award after being the first Division I runner to cross the finish line in the Brown race at the Paul Short Run. He helped the men’s squad capture third as a team and only fall to Buffalo in dual meet scores. Kibet ran a personal best 24:41 8K time that is now the fourth fastest in Siena history.
The team will head to Stanley Park in Westfield, Massachusetts to race in the Westfield James Earley Invitational on Saturday, October 7. The race will begin at 11 a.m.
