Siena's Men's and Women's track program had a total of 18 named to the MAAC All-Academic Team at the conclusion of the MAAC Outdoor Track Championship Sunday. A total of 119 men and 173 women were named to the team.
The men's program has accumulated a 3.26 grade point average while the women hold a 3.46. To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
Siena's honorees from the men's side include seniors Eric Brower, Paolo Fiore, Shane Fiust-Klink. Juniors Travis Fairlee and Shaun VanBuskirk and sophomores Mike Mahoney, Jack O'Hara and Adam Vaccaro.
The women that received the honor included seniors Shannon Bauer, Kelly Pasko, Annica Penn, Kelly Russo, Sydney Sericolo and Ursula Svoboda. Sophomores Sarah Forman, Meghan McDonough, Serena Rizzo and Abbi Wright were also named.
The Saints competed in their second MAAC Outdoor Track Championships on Saturday, May 6 and Sunday, May 7 at the Track and Field Complex in Lawrenceville, New Jersey on the campus of Rider University.
