Siena Men's and Women's Cross Country team battled through the snow in Buffalo, New York to take on the NCAA Northeast Regionals. The men finished in 23rd as a team, while the women came in 31st. The men's 23rd place finish is the highest place as a team and least points scored at the Regional.
Junior Jack O'Hara and sophomore Evans Kibet came in one right after the other with O'Hara finding his way to the finish line in 33:53.8 followed by Kibet at 33:54.0. Sophomore Stosh Davis moved up throughout the race to finish in 34:37.9 with fellow sophomore Michael Rautter coming through at 34:40.0. Junior William Randall rounded out the scoring and found himself moving up throughout the race to finish in 34:34.7 for the 10K.
Junior Sarah Forman came in 67th place in the 251 runner field with a time of 23:04.8 in the 6K. Her finish is the highest for any Siena women at the regionals.Carolyn Pellegrini and freshman Monica Strain kept it under 25 minutes as the duo came in respective times of 24:37.3 and 24:52.2. Camryn Johnson finished the race in 25:09.1, while Dominica Bleichert crossed the finish line at 25:18.3 to found out the Saints scoring.
The Saints will head to Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, New York for the IC4A/ECAC Championships on Saturday, November 18. The meet is set to begin at 10 a.m.
