Siena Men's Cross Country ran 23rd of 46 teams and the women finished 43rd at Lehigh's Paul Short Run. Sophomore Nick Miller led the men's squad for a second straight race, while Christie MacFarlane again paced the women.
"I thought that given the extremely warm conditions and unusual weather we had a pretty good day all things considered," said head coach John Kenworthy. "We made the best of our opportunity at a high quality meet."
The men finished in the top half of the field and well clear of fellow MAAC member Niagara. Miller completed the men's brown 8K race in a time of 26:42, which was good for 69th overall in a 372-runner field.
"Nick has been training really well," added Kenworthy. "We expected him to be in the position he is every week. He's growing stronger and stronger and been a great leader."
MacFarlane too placed highly, finishing the women's brown 6K course in a time of 23:37 to place 79th overall in a 365-runner field.
The Saints return to the course in two weeks for the UAlbany Invitational on Oct. 19 at 11 a.m.
