Siobhan Dwyer begins her first season as an assistant coach with the Siena College Cross Country team. Dwyer will assist the program in all aspects for both the men's and women's teams. "We are thrilled to have Siobhan join our program," said head coach Alison Wade. "The same qualities that made her a successful student-athlete will allow her to have an immediate positive impact on our program." Dwyer joins the Saints following a highly successful cross country and track and field career at Iona College. Dwyer, who was named a team captain as a sophomore, led the Gaels to four consecutive MAAC Titles. In 2009, she was an Academic All-American and named the Iona College "Gael of the Year" after winning the MAAC Championship in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. Additionally, Dwyer was her team representative for Iona's Student Athlete Advisory Committee. She graduated cum laude with her Bachelor's of Business Administration degree in Marketing in 2010 and earned her MBA in Management from Iona in June. |
