Adam Allen enters his first season as the assistant coach for the Siena College Cross Country program. Additionally, Allen works within the department as an assistant Strength and Conditioning coach.
Allen first joined Siena in June of 2012 when he began assisting with the Saints' Strength and Conditioning program. He has assisted with the design and execution of training, conditioning and agility routines for many of Siena's varsity athletic programs.
In September, Allen was appointed by new cross country head coach Joanne Dow as her assistant. In his role, Allen is involved in all aspects of the program including training, coaching and recruiting.
Outside of Siena, Allen previously served as the assistant Indoor/Outdoor Track and Field coach at Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons Prep School in nearby Schenectady. Additionally, Allen currently serves as a sales associate at Fleet Feet Sports in Albany.
A native of Johnstown, N.Y., Allen received his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from the State University of New York at Cortland in May of 2011. He was a three-year member of Cortland's track and field team where he competed as a hurdler, sprinter and pole vaulter.
