Siena Creates Office of Fan and Corporate Development
Sept. 19, 2011
Karen Jones and Nate Mason have been hired by the Siena College athletic department to play integral roles in the new Office of Fan and Corporate Development. Jones will be Siena's box office manager, while Mason has been hired as a sales assistant. "The Office of Fan and Corporate Development will focus on all corporate and ticket sales while providing first class customer service," said Tim Farrell, Siena's corporate sales manager. "In creating this new department, we will establish a Siena-centric box office which will offer better customer relations." The Office of Fan and Corporate Development will sell season, group, and premium seats to all 14 Siena basketball home games at the Times Union Center this season. The season tips off in just two months, and those looking to purchase tickets can do so by calling the office at (518) 487-2202. The expansion comes as part of Siena's new strategic plan, which is scheduled to kick off in October. The college's athletic department is expected to play a major role in the plan, one entitled "Living Our Tradition." Jones graduated from Canisius College, earning her B.S. in Athletic Training in 2008 and her Master's in Sport Administration in 2010. She most recently worked for Live Nation as a box office manager and assistant ticketing manager for the Pacific Northwest region. As Siena's box office manager, Jones will be responsible for overseeing all ticket operations, including invoicing, seat assignments, reporting, and TicketMaster management. She will also serve as a liaison between the Siena and Times Union Center box offices. A graduate of Cazenovia College, Mason obtained his B.S. in Sports Management in May of 2006 before enrolling in the Master's program for Athletic Administration at Springfield College. He received his M.S. in May of 2009, and most recently served as a sales and community service executive for the Adirondack Phantoms hockey team. As a sales assistant, Mason will be responsible for season ticket sales and renewals, group ticket sales, mini game packages, and specialty night sales.
