Alumni Recreation Center (ARC)
The Alumni Recreation Center serves as the home for Siena's women's basketball and volleyball teams. Both programs have enjoyed tremendous success over the years, creating many memorable moments in the building known simply as "The ARC" across campus. In the summer of 2016 the ARC underwent a facelift in Phase 1A of a update to the athletic facilities. The update includes construction of an enclosed 8,360 square foot practice court for the men's and women's basketball programs located on the east side of the ARC. An addition of a bank of bleachers is also included in the phase, which will make the ARC's seating capacity 2,148.
The women's basketball team has made its home at the ARC since 1974. Since calling the ARC home, the Saints have won seven MAAC Regular Season Titles and captured the MAAC Championship in 2001. The women's basketball program has also made five postseason appearances in the NCAA Tournament (2001), WNIT (1999, 2002, 2003) and WBI (2015). Entering the 2015-16 season, the Saints are 237-137 (.634) all-time at the ARC during the program's Division I era including a 2-1 record in the WNIT, and a 2-0 record in the WBI.
Siena's volleyball program has won nine MAAC Championships and made six NCAA Tournament Appearances since 1993. Since joining the conference in 1990, the Saints boast an impressive 206-102 (.672) in the MAAC. Under the direction of now 14th year head coach Garvey Pierre, the Saints have made five trips to the NCAA Tournament, traveling to play First Round games in Fort Collins, Colo, State College, Pa., Albany, N.Y. and Berkeley, Calif.
