Siena Intramurals

Volleyball Rules

  • Based on NCAA rules.
  • Teams must have at least nine members on their roster to participate
  • In coed play, a minimum of three female players must be on the court at all times.
  • No more than two varsity volleyball players per team.
  • Rally scoring will be used.
  • A point is awarded on each rally regardless of which team is serving.
  • Games are to 21 points (best two out three games).
  • If a deciding third game is needed, game is to 15 points.
  • Indoor sneakers must be worn. Kneepads are recommended.
  • If jewelry is determined to be unsafe, you must remove it if asked to do so by a student worker.
  • If your team does not arrive within 10 minutes of your scheduled arrival time, you will be assessed a forfeit loss.
  • Fighting is an indefinite suspension from any intramural activity.
  • Students are expected to abide by all intramural policies.
