Athletic Communications Internship

The Siena athletics internship program is an un-paid position for credit and/or field experience. We will work with you to ensure that any standards required to fulfill the expectations for college credit/field experience are met.

Interested in a career in athletic communications or marketing? Consider interning in the office of athletic communications at Siena, where you will gain valuable skills that will help prepare you for a career in one of these highly sought after fields. The office of athletic communications is responsible for the publicity of Siena's Division I athletic department. The intern will work with the communications staff to promote Siena student athletes to traditional and emerging media outlets, utilizing some of the latest technology and techniques in the industry.

Responsibilities include:

  • Event coverage
  • Developing content for SienaSaints.com, social media and other department publications
  • Market and promote upcoming events
  • Creative promotion of student athlete accomplishments and department events

Interns with background in video production or graphic design will receive special consideration. The intern must have strong writing skills, the desire to work long and non-traditional hours, a passion for a career in sports or public relations.
